rFactor Aussie V8 Supercars V8factor Mod Released

Team ORSM have released their highly anticipated V8 Supercars V8factor mod for rFactor. I haven't had a chance to try it out properly (DFP pedals acting wonky) but my first impressions were very good. It seems like one of the best mods yet for rFactor and they did a great job on Bathurst which is included in the download. Team ORSM plans to release more of the Aussie V8 tracks at a later date and of course some are already available as conversions from other games. Check below for some random V8factor screenshots and download mirrors. More download mirrors can be found in the official release announcement over at Race Sim Central.

Ok, so that last pic isn't a screenshot but it's not a bad wallpaper :)

Alfa Romeo 147 GTR Mod Released for rFactor

The Alfa Romeo 147 GTR mod originally created by RSDG has been converted and released for rFactor by Indiana. He notes in the readme that "The physics for this mod are fantasy data and I am sure that is not perfect. It does not correspond a real series." He did a nice job on this conversion. The mod is fun to drive and definitely worth the download. Screenshots and download mirror(s) can be found below. There's also another Alfa 147 rFactor mod in the works that will feature more realistic physics. Stay tuned.

Watkins Glen v2.0 Released for rFactor

Jason has released version 2.0 of his Watkins Glen track conversion for rFactor. The track was originally created by RSDG for F1C and has been converted to GTR and now rFactor. Jason and all involved did a great job on this and I think this is easily the best version of The Glen yet. I love me some Watkins Glen and can see this becoming one of my favorite tracks for rFactor. There's a long list of credits in the readme along with some other pertinent info so be sure to check it out. Download mirrors and screenshots below. The screenshots also feature the Formula Nippon mod which I posted about yesterday. I got the pedals fixed on the DFP. Either that or they're going to work on any overcast Wednesday that falls on the 20th of the month. Probably the latter. Where, oh where is that G25...

Formula Nippon 1.2 rFactor Mod Released

TechDaddy and crew have released an update to their popular Formula Nippon rFactor mod bringing it up to version 1.2. You can download the 55MB zip file right here or see this thread at RSC for more mirrors along with some info about the mod. I'm sure rFactor Central will have it's download mirrors up shortly as well. Sadly, my DFP pedals finally gave up the ghost so I haven't had a chance to try it, hence no screenshots. If it's anything like their previous work, this is a must have rFactor mod. You can find out more about Formula Nippon at Wikipedia and here is a link to the english version of the official website for the series.

Citroen 2CV rFactor Mod Released

Slipangle.it and MudSnow's Modding have released the Citroen 2CV Championship mod for rFactor. The mod comes in a few different flavors depending on what resolution skins you prefer. I have a local download mirror (65MB .rar file) for the 1024x skin package. 512x and 2048x skins are also available. For the other versions, check out MudSnow's forum or rFactor Central. I spent about an hour racing this mod vs the AI at Birmingham. These things seem to top out at just over 70 MPH on that track and that's about how long it took to do a 5 lap race :D. All kidding aside, it's nice to see rFactor mods like this that depart from the "norm". Thanks to everyone involved for doing a great job. If racing these 2CV's doesn't put a smile on your face, you shoud have your sense of fun examined! If you're not familair with the Citroen 2CV, you can feed your brain by reading this this Wikipedia entry.
