ALMS: Streaming Video from the 12 Hours of Sebring

American Le Mans Series
2009 Update: Acura is footing the bill once again for live streaming video from the 12 Hours of Sebring. You can view the feed at SpeedTV. You may need to use Internet Explorer to see the video and I'm not sure if it will work for those of you outside of the US. Of course you can also see most of the race on TV via the Speed Channel but they'll be breaking away for a couple of hours to cover Nationwide Series qualifying and Sprint Cup practice at noon EST. We wouldn't want to miss that would we?

Just a quick note for you sports car fans. SpeedTV is providing free streaming video from the 12 Hours of Sebring via their Onboard Pass service. It's normally a premium service but Acura is picking up the tab today so it's available to everyone. Most of the race will be broadcast on the Speed Channel itself but there will be a 3 hour break mid-day for some NASCAR Busch Series coverage (don't get me started ...) so this will be a nice option for the non-NASCAR fans. Here's a link to the Speed Onboard Pass page where you can view the feeds. You will have to register (it's free) and if you have trouble getting the site to work in FireFox, switch to Internet Explorer and you should be fine.

NASCAR Busch Series: Live Streaming Video Coverage from Mexico

I just noticed that NASCAR is providing a live video stream of the Busch Series road course race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez this afternoon. The green flag drops at approximately 2:00PM EST but the online broadcast starts at 1:30. Of course it will also be available on ESPN.

Champ Car World Series Live Feed from Montreal

After only a handful of laps, today's Champ Car race in Montreal was postponed until tomorrow due to heavy rain. The series is planning to provide a live feed over the web starting at 8:00AM EST for the Atlantic cars followed by the CCWS race at 10:00AM. The race conditions today were some of the worst I've ever seen and I'm surprised there was only one incident before they threw out the red flag. Katherine Legge went into the tire barrier on lap 3 and her car suffered heavy damage but Champ Car officials will be allowing her to restart the race tomorrow. More info along with a link to the streaming live feed can be found on the Champ Car website.

Juan Pablo Montoya Signs With Ganassi Racing NASCAR Team

From the "Never Saw That Coming" departament, Chip Ganassi anounced at the Chicagoland Speedway today that he's signed Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya to his NASCAR Nextel Cup team for the 2007 season. Monotya will be driving the #42 Texaco Havoline dodge currently occupied by Casey Mears. Mears is leaving Ganassi at the end of this season to drive for Hendrick Motorsports. At the press conference earlier today, Ganassi hinted that there's an outside chance that Montoya may appear in a Busch Series race before the end of the current season, schedule permitting. Pictures and Videos from Nurburgring Nordschleife 24 Hrs

24h-Rennen.de has quite a few pictures and videos of the endurance race that took place at Nurburgring Nordschleife over the weekend. The site is in German but navigating is straight forward enough. It's too bad that this years race happened to be the same weekend as the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Here's hoping the Speed Channel will be broadcasting a highlights special like they did last year. If I happen to see a listing for coverage of this year's race, I'll post the air times.
