ProtoRacer Championship Mod Released for rFactor

The ProtoRacer Championship mod for rFactor was released over the weekend and I have to say it's one of the best additions to rFactor yet. The physics are excellent and the cars are very predictable as well as a blast to drive. It was created by Francis who had some help from several other people in the rFactor community. For now, Protoracer Championship is a single car mod but there will be more vehicles added to the series as they're completed. There's a list of download mirrors for the mod and PSD templates at Francis's website. There's a multipage thread at rscnet where people are discussing the mod, posting screenshots etc. There's also a few screesnhots below of a Protoracer mixing up with some McLaren F1's at Mills Metropark (track textures by SLN, sky by Hudson Kerr).

  1. […] Francis has released the Demon add-on car for his ProtoRacer rFactor mod. It’s the second car in the ProtoRacer series and the update includes over 10 new skins. The Demon is slightly heavier and more powerful than the previously released Proton, weighing in at 1025kg and packing 575 horsepower. The third car in the series is named the Scorpio and will be released sometime in the future (no release date yet). Here’s a local download mirror for the Demon ProtoRacer add-on (8MB self-extracting archive). You will need to have the original mod installed for this vehicle to work correctly. There’s more info along with some other download mirrors available at rFactor Central. Below you’ll find some screenshots of the Demon from a race vs the AI at Orchard Park. If you like the Proton as much as I do, I can’t see you not liking the Demon so be sure to check it out.
